Going to practice is required to get better at any sport however, training outside of practice will help you get better quicker.
Training your body every day in a small way makes a big difference at the end of the season. Many people over look the need to do something consistently every day to get better.
You can start strength training as little as 5 or 6 years old. Now before you loose your mind thinking about a 6 year old knocking out 10 300lb reps on the bench press let me explain.
Core strength training can be done at any age with body weigh and some small weights. You shouldn’t start weight lifting as most people know it until the body has matured and is capable of with standing that much stress.
In this Audio Series I will discuss some of the things I do with my wrestlers to get them considerably more Core Strength.
If you have any comments or questions please post them here.
Best regards, Anthony.
