In my podcast, I’m going to be doing some more social media podcasts soon. I’ve just tried some new social media marketing techniques, and I’m getting some results back on those. Now that I’m getting some results, I have something to be able to provide value with.

There are a lot of techniques that people will promote out there, and if you don’t look at those techniques and those strategies carefully, you’ll find that they’re promoting something that will immediately get you banned on Twitter or Facebook or LinkedIn or whatever. So you need to be careful about the strategies.

So I try not to tell you about anything that I have not tried myself or that one of my personal friends or business partners have tried themselves. I would not want to tell you about something, you try it out and then get into trouble for it.

So, if you’re creating content for a podcast or an e-book or a product or a video or audio or anything, make sure you research what you’re talking about. Don’t just go to youtube and watch a video and then decide that you’re going to create some content based on something that you heard.

I mean a lot of times e-books live on for years and years and years. The techniques and those e-books may not still be valid. You need to make sure you go and double and triple check those. So again, your content needs to be very, very valuable. You need to be able to manage it. I’m handling it using a tracking document. I’m managing it after the fact.

I know some people like to go ahead and plan. They could use this document as a planning document you could put the next hundred episodes of your podcast in here. Go ahead and give them titles, pick what categories you want to list them in. Pick all of your show notes and write those up in advance. I don’t do my podcast this way, that’s too structured for me.

If you want me to create something, it has to be something that I’m doing, something that I’m passionate about. And I think there’s a lot of other people that think they need to plan everything out before they do it. I don’t, I am very much an implement and refine guy. You will see that on all my products, you’ll hear that on my podcast.

See you in the next.
